Hello, I don't think you can fully disable it  or change it anymore as it legally record to alert someone that call is being recorded in some countries.

You can change a few settings, head to your phone app > click the 3 dots > then head into Record calls > Those are the settings I belive Samsung phone app offers.

I hope those settings are to some use for you.

Bindex , thanks tried every setting I could find, no luck. Putting the question on chrome seems to say you can change it to a beep but the option shown isn't there.... In the UK, recording phone calls without warning the other party is legal, but with restrictions on their use.

Yeah, I know it is legal in the UK for personal use and restrictions on them as well. But I believe business are legally required to tell you under GDPR. I am not 100% on this.

Yeah, I think it has changed through updates, it was confusing me when I had a quick check on google to make sure I wasn;'t missing anything. Maybe Google own phone app allows you have the beep nose instead of the voice announcing it.

- Looking more into, the app it shows when adding the *tone* instead of voice, it seems like the Google Phone app, I have just checked that app and it doesn't offer me anywhere to record a call. So I am pretty at the moment you can't change it.

You have to inform the other user if you want to record the phone call.

Hi Keith, thanks but in the UK you do not have to inform the other party. You do however have legal restrictions on how you use that recording. I've been on to Samsung and it can't be changed or deleted however they have had lots of customers asking for it to be put back in.

At least they have answered your question. I didn't think it could be removed.

Hopefully, this has resolved your issue for now.

Simply? You don't

I would be very concerned if a friend of mine rang me and felt the need to discreetly record the call (wouldn't be a friend for much longer).

You'll probably say you would only use it in certain circumstances but once the functionality is there......

Any why wouldn't you be upfront and tell a business you are recording a call? They do.....

This is one of the things wrong with people, too much clandestine activity instead of being open and honest.

Oh dear, Piper123 , this was a technical question not a morality quiz or virtue signalling exercise. Try reading my notes. It is NOT illegal for you to record it without a warning message but if you do it is illegal to use it without their consent. Obviously you live in a perfect world where your recall of every word is perfect as are the intentions of everyone. The legal landscape is littered with people who deny saying something because it is to their advantage. Apart from the part that I only use it as a memoir of the FACTS/TRUTH my opinion is you really need to grow up.
