Hi all,

has anyone noticed battery draining after few days of usage? I leave my phone without WiFi overnight on Power Saving mode with 4G/3G/2G enabled. For the first few nights the phone uses minimal battery capacity (1-2 %), but after few days it uses over 15%. Usually restart helps.

Any ideas how to resolve this issue?

Thanks!

Why doesn't Samsung address the battery drain issue of the Samsung A54 mobile phone? The Samsung A54 mobile phone drains battery even when I'm not using it. I have to charge it during the day. Even without using the internet, Samsung A series mobile phones, which are not considered mid-range, need to be charged once every two days. Please fix this issue in an update for the Samsung A54's weak battery.

When did you get that update? I'm still on 5.1 and I've updated it yesterday.

After some searching, I discovered that the cause of the idle battery drain is maybe the 5G modem. Switch over to 4G, and discover that the battery doesn't drain too quickly anymore. I contacted Samsung via the app, and they said the battery is faulty, send it in for repairs. But I think it is the 5G modem, because that is also a possible consumer of energy, that is not reported. And when I removed the SIM card, the phone is now very efficient with the battery all the time. I could be wrong, so more people have to confirm this theory.

I have the same problem battery drain problem with my A54. It drains the battery too fast, and overnight it is always more than 15%. Not to mention that the battery goes down very fast, even on the most common browsing.

Firstly, I've tried waiting for the newest Android update. It has done nothing to improve battery life.

Next, I've decided to try and test it during the holidays for optimization. Using your suggestion, and from the other members as well, I've tested everything. I am afraid it really did nothing to help extend the battery usage.

Your suggestion to disable 5g actually worked to some extent. Battery now drains overnight about 3%. But it does not help much. In regular use battery goes down very fast. Even if you don't do anything with the phone, except a few calls and messages, It is still impossible to extend it to more than two days or less on one full charge. This is simply not something I can accept as normal because my old phone with almost four years old battery can perform better than this half year old brick.

I found a new service under device care: Automatic memory clean function. It is really new or only new to me? I did not notice it before UI 6. As the name suggest it cleans the memory during the night. Probably it was introduce to combat the battery drain issue. (?)
