I updated my phone yesterday and now I can't access anything that uses the fingerprint sensor.
On trying to access the fingerprints part in Settings I get 'fingerprint sesnor not working, if this keeps happening restart your phone'. restarting it doesn't work.
When I've tried to log into banking, the sensor bit that you put your thumb doesn't show and I now can't access any banking on my phone. Anyone else had this issue after updating?
last update was 19th july.
This is a massive ballache so any fixes appreciated.

No, still nothing. Online help said do a full factory reset, I did, it still didn't work. I looked at a repair and I'm holding off as I don't think I should oay for their cr*ppy software updates knackering my phone

If you head to Settings > Biometrics and security > More biometrics settings > Biometrics security patch, are there any updates available? If not, or if the update does not resolve the issue, please head to the Samsung Members app > Press and hold on the app icon > Diagnostics > Fingerprint recognition, and follow the on-screen instructions. If this returns an 'Action required' notification, then please reach out to us via samsung.com > Scroll to the bottom of the page > Contact us, and an advisor will be able to arrange for the phone to be inspected and repaired by an authorised Samsung engineer.

Hey I had the same problem
I just enabled safe mod and then checked if the fingerprint sensor is working and it worked
Then I leaved safe mode and it was working just fine
