That is a good question! I will help gladly you further. Have you also tried clearing the cache via the Recovery menu? If not, turn off your device and connect it to the charger. Then hold the Volume Up and Power buttons until you see the Android logo. After a few seconds, the Recovery menu will start. Select 'Wipe cache partition'' and then 'Reboot system now'.
If it didn't helped can you tell me what the app is called? I will try it on our phones.

On the pin input screen I get this pop-up:

I've tried it about 5 times but don't get the recovery menu. Maybe due to phone protection? (This is a managed device)
