Bought a new A40 in March 2020, it worked for a week then after an update it would not connect to the network, no calls and no mobile data.
Since then it has gone to Samsung twice for repair and they have change components, still fails to connect.
It has been back to the supplier for their techs to look at it, it still fails to connect.
The Sim works fine in other phones and others working Sims DO NOT work in the A40, same message of CANNOT CONNECT TO NETWORK even after selecting relevant APNs.
The phones has been factory reset many times.
Airplane mode is definitely off
It recognises a sim has been inserted
Signal Display shows circle with line through it
WiFi works and WiFi calling shows signal bars
It is still under warranty but the supplier is saying there is nothing wrong with it...they clearly haven't put a SIM in and dialled a number!! and only used diagnostics to check it.
So Samsung have washed hands of it, the supplier has washed hands of it....Any suggestions????
