Hi, I have never been able to get the camera on my 4 year old Galaxy A3 to zoom when taking a photo. According to the user manual you just focus then spread 2 fingers. When I try this I just get a message saying "cannot zoom in or out in this mode". I've tried it in other modes auto, beauty face etc and it's just the same. I'm just a non tech old pensionerso struggling. Thanks

@Barrysh: Have you tried every available Camera Mode to ensure that you are not limited by the current mode? If you select 'Auto' mode and spread 2 fingers on the screen without focusing first, does this help? As a troubleshooting step please go to to Settings > Application Manager > All > Camera > Clear Cache > Clear Data > Restart your device. Alternatively, open the Camera app > Tap the cog symbol > Tap the 3 dots > Reset Settings. Are you able to zoom in/out on the Camera app following this step?
