Thanks, everybody for the help

I found the cause of the notification sound - a program called PhoneLink, running on my laptop. This program appears to cause the phone to make a noise every time the Bluetooth connection is made or broken!

You're going to have to elaborate a bit more if you want us to attempt to resolve this.
Describe the noise
Is your device connected to a smart watch?
Any particular time of day when it's occurring?

The more info you can give, the better.

Thanks. Do you have Google Assistant or Bixby active?

@Tekaham try Safe Mode to see if this is connected to an app you have downloaded.

Safe Mode  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/ turns off downloaded apps and themes etc which may highlight an app or theme that's causing conflict. Alternatively long press the power off button and then long hold on Turn Off to get to Safe Mode.

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

@Tekaham: If the issue persists in Safe Mode, and if you have a case or cover attached to the phone which you use to house your bank cards, then please try removing it temporarily to see if this helps. If this isn't applicable, then please head to Settings > Notifications > Advanced settings > Notification history > On, then check this setting next time you hear the sound to see if any apps or features correspond with what you're hearing.

Thanks

I have put it in "safe" mode so will have to let the phone run for a few hours to see if the problem goes away
