My A73 second sim keeps going undetected after updating to latest update.

I have tried rebooting the phone, resetting the network settings etc. Same sim is working fine in other phone. After some time it automatically detects or I have to restart everytime. Putting into flight mode does not resolve the issue.

Anybody else facing the same?

Hi @Ravikiran DP and may I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum 👋

I have seen posts on the forum in regards to some various issues after updating their software.

If you perform a forum search you may find existing threads with some further help or guidence within.

I appreciate that you have carried out some troubleshooting steps.  👍

Can you also try >

  • Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too { Possibly excluding the s²⁴ Series of phone's }
  • You can also send feedback via your Samsung Members App too that goes directly to Samsung.

A last resort might be to Back up and Factory Reset.

I have an Xcover5 with dual SIM, UK SIM in slot 1 and Canada SIM in slot 2. Both worked fine until the latest Android security update, at which point the Canadian SIM disappeared and I got the same error as you. The UK SIM in slot 1 worked fine. Did the usual recycling etc, to no avail. Then I took the back off and swapped the SIMs over to see if the Canadian SIM had failed, or whether the slot had a problem somehow (don't know why it would, it has worked fine for years). The Canadian SIM worked in Slot  1, and the UK SIM also worked in slot 2. OK so both slots working and both SIMs working. I swapped them back, and it couldn't find the Canadian SIM. So now I am at a loss. Why would the Canadian SIM only work in one slot, when it worked perfectly well before in the other, and the other SIM works in both slots? What exactly is the problem?
