same build released in Switzerland yesterday so should be final although notes in beta members say 3rd beta so what gives

No, the BETA 3 is a newer build compared to the stable firmware released. Stable firmware build date is 29/12/2020 while Beta 3 is 06/01/2021.

Yesterday you should have received the third Beta version.

As it comes to the UK, it usually takes more time to receive the final update. To receive the final version of the software, each country should receive the carrier's acceptance first. They make some tests on their side, and when they accept the software, the final version can be launched on the market 😊.
