Hi,
This usually happens when you connect your phone to a PC/laptop and select charing, instead of data transfer for the USB connection.

Hi @GooseSnipe have you tried setting a default via Developer Options? Developer Options-Default USB Configuration.
If Developer options not set up Go to Settings-About Phone and tap Build Number 7 times. Will need to enter password ,Pin or Pattern at this point. See more details here: https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-turn-on-the-developer-options-menu-on-my-....

Has anyone found a solution to that problem yet? It's happening on my A53.

I have done this & restarted, but still not working? My phone always worked to back up files this way until now? I tried with 4 different USB cables & on 3 different PC's so it must be the phone.
Anything else I can try?
