New galaxy pro book 360
tried updating drivers seemed ok before the firmware upgrade

wow! what a lovely and powerful notebook you have!!! 😍
♥ hope the device is not tilted, as touchpad is deactivated automatically
♥ try to switch on/off the touchpad function | press Fn + F5
♥ if the same, check Settings → Devices → Touchpad → desired options
♥ if the same, type Device Manager on below search bar → look for touchpad → Uninstall it
♥ then restart the notebook, the driver should automatically reinstall itself

Yes, it is a beautiful machine.
I've been through these troubleshooting steps.
The touchpad will work in an erratic way and then stops again.
I've since been talking to S Support and will be getting a replacement.
