Samsung T7 and Apple M1 computers

Does the the Samsung SSDs (T7 / Touch) support the new Apple M1 computers? The latest Activation Software for Mac OS vers 1.7.2 (MULTI LANGUAGE) is from 2020-04-29. So, that is for sure not a native software for the new M1 Macs. Do you have any information if there is a public beta for the Activation Software or tentative release date? How does the SSDs work without the Activation software? In other words, can I get the touch funtionalityfor the T7 Touch without the software? Thanks!

Just bought one from Amazon and tried it on my M1 Macbook Air, and unfortunately, it doesn't work in terms of the fingerprint function. I installed the software, and it didn't even detect my T7.
