Samsung T5 SSD 2TB very slow data transfer

Hi All,

I recently purchased T5 SSD with 2TB

But when transfer data/files from my laptop (its on SSD) to T5 SSD taking very long time. Max i can see it goes up to 10 Mbps speed, weird! most of the times it drop to x bytes/s.

I observe that it follows some pattern like it reach 5-10 Mbps for 5 seconds then it down to 0 bytes/s for next 5 seconds (sleeping), repeat same pattern. Not sure if make use of some cache & flush & load to cache again & flush again, etc, but I cant find any clues on this weirrd pattern. Overall, it taking few hours to copy around ~5GB size data from laptop to this new T5 SSD. My T5 SSD comes with USB to Type-C cable.

I tried format T5 SSD in exFAT (default), but same issue.

Also I tried format T5 SSD in NTFS, but still same issue.

I perform random surface test using partition tools, no bad sectors.

But still transfer rate is very very slow than expected 

Can anyone share suggestions/clues/inputs?

What operating system are you using and what generation USB controller do you have on the computer?
