Hi, my laptop has not charged the battery for the last couple of years so I have just used it connected to the mains and it has worked fine. However, I decided to bite the bullet and purchased a new battery which I have just fitted. However I noticed that the new battery is not charging, so it looks like the issue is not the battery. But as mentioned, when it is plugged into the mains it works fine. I have been through the process of removing the battery, and doing a hard reboot, also been into device manager and removed the battery options, but still the same issue. Any suggestions?

did you buy an original battery?

The only advice i can give you is to try to buy a new official charger and then think about the battery, but it is a bit of waste of money if the charger does not fix it
