I allowed the update to proceed but when it started the new version it hung "Scanning for drive information". After about 5 minutes I killed the task, rebooted and tried again. This still didn't work, so I uninstalled Magician, rebooted and reverted to the old version (7.0.1.630).

Same. I just updated to 7.1.1.820 and it's stuck at the initial scan.

So far so good - updated from 7.0.1 to 7.1.1.??? and seems to run OK. Newish Windows 11 PC; SSD is 970 evo plus. Old windows 10 PC still has broken 7.1 version.

Same here. Annoying. Got stuck after install so had to downgrade back to 7.0.1

Same here. Version 7.1.1 does endless scanning for drive information.
Windows 10, latest patch day installed, AMD Ryzen 9500.
By the way, maybe it helps if you give the info what Windows, and what CPU

I'm assuming it "may" work if you don't have NVMe drives ? I do (the 980) and 7.1.0 doesn't see it, so won't try 7.1.1 until several users confirm it's OK with 980.
