New Samsung Magician 8.0 not installed (after install process samsung services start to load my comp processor and nothing happens futher).
After kind of installation, Magician interface not loading at all.
it's not working properly on my Win 11 and I reverted to 7.3.0
No previous versions of the program had such problems before!
Please fix it.
!!! SOLUTION
To make Samsung Magician 8.* work properly, just DO NOT disable the Windows service - "Server" (LanmanServer)

We shouldn't have to go through all of this. Just to get a program to work properly.

I downloaded the latest vesion Samsung Magician 8.01 and I followed all the steps, and nothing magical happened. Samsung Magician launched, but in Drive Management, only Drive Dashboard is active. The rest of the options are grayed out and inactive. In other words, the program is not working correctly. It operated the same way before applying your method. It's strange that Samsung can't create a properly functioning program. I've checked several threads on different forums, and I discover that there have been and still are issues with 'Samsung Magician.' CrystalDiskInfo, which does the same things, simply works. Samsung's magic is really quite limited.

Sorry it didn't work for you. I agree that there are big problems with version 8. I have to admit that I have had the problem return and have gone through this procedure two additional times to restore correct operation. Thank you for this update.

I'm not happy :). But thank you for your effort, maybe somebody will have more luck than me. Your way looks promising. However, I have the impression that the Samsung team is not bothering to read messages on this forum, hence the lack of response and improvement in the performance of Samsung Magician. Happy New Year.

Ok folks, I'm never right the first time, but I am persistent. Here is what works to run the new Magician 8.0+ software:
Go to a windows command prompt. Make sure you Run As Administrator.
Go to Program Files (x86)\Samsung\Samsung Magician directory.
Run SamsungMagician.exe with the -L switch like this:
SamsungMagician.exe -L
That's it. This switch is just supposed to list command options, so no idea why it works.

Also works to simply add the -L switch to the SamsungMagician command line in the desktop icon properties as follows:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Samsung\Samsung Magician\SamsungMagician.exe" -L
How about them apples?

Change this under properties on the deskop icon (add the -L switch). Works.
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Samsung\Samsung Magician\SamsungMagician.exe" -L

Add the -L swtich to the command like under Properties for the Samsung Magician desktop icon as follows (-L outside the quotes, not inside). Works. Your welcome.
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Samsung\Samsung Magician\SamsungMagician.exe" -L

Please fit it.
This is for Magician 8.0.1 which displayed the following issue (installed on latest updated Windows 10 Pro):
After installation I started it. The mouse cursor started flickering, the CPU usages jumped to ~40%, Samsung Magician didn't start, I finally had to kill the process in task manager.
This is the solution I found which worked for me:
"It turns out Samsung Magician 8 requires the "LanmanServer" service enabled in order to run. If you have it on "Disabled" - Samsung Magician 8 won't start."
To install the service (it's a microsoft service), do the following:
1. Run the Command Prompt as an administrator.
2. Copy the commands below, paste them into the command window and press ENTER:
sc config LanmanServer start= auto
sc start LanmanServer
3. Close the command window and restart the computer.
You should now be able to install and run Samsung Magician 8.0.x. I have no idea why Samsung Magician requires LanManServer Service and I'd rather it didn't use it or AT THE LEAST warn the user during installation if it doesn't find it.

Same problem with Magician 8.1
So sad...
