Samsung Galaxy Book 3 fan noise

Hi,

we purchased a Galaxy Book 3 yesterday and the fans are making a loud noise when we only have the internet open and no other apps.

This does not seem right, can you please advise if this should be happening?

My laptop has a small app called speedfan It lets you see what the inside temperature is. Which is a great help if it gets too hot.

In Samsung Settings there are 3 modes, which i think are called Silent, balanced and performance.

With my Galaxy Book 3 I have it on balanced and the laptop is silent, on performance the fan spins almost constantly but not to noisy.

If yours is on silent or balanced and its making fan noise I'd send it back as something is not right.

Also make sure the vents under the laptop are not covered by anything.

I also have a Galaxy Book3 Pro and problems with loud fan noises. I wonder if that can be due an issue with the hardware. Strange if only some people habe this problem with the same laptop. I'd like to know if this can be resolved by Samsung by returning the laptop.

Hi. I purchased a Galaxy Book 3 360 highest spec just a few months ago and I have the same loud fan noise problem [in any of the 3 performance modes]. I think it's just the way the machine functions AGAIN with many light laptops, they only fit one little fan, that can barely cope. But I might be wrong and I might have one of these defective laptops myself. It's difficult to know as opinions are divided. I would however be interested in having a chat with warranty to be fair.

I am using it on quiet mode and the sound is louder than an old A/C. It is just a horrible product, do not buy. The battery las for less than an hr. It is a rip off.

Same issue here. GB3 Pro. Very loud fans when web browsing and light document work. They also have a high pitch squeal to them as well. For the price point of these devices, I would expect better from Samsung. Other than the fan noise, it's a great laptop.

Hello sir this mohammad ekal .high level truly man who speaking the true !samsung are using agreesive mode both on battery and while charging the putting 12 cores in thin laptop cuzing high temptures due samsung are unable how to figure too keep high speed with low tempture cpu like apple maccbook so the u have to turn off the turbo peerfomance which may causing half seepd of ur cpu and temputre and fans will be to normall which should be between 40 tp 60c but due samsung using agressive mode cpu then causing heating even on light use like youtube or browsing .apple news M cpus they are very powerl and keepn in low tempture while intel are not able to doing that with thier cpu so turbo pwrfomance is in power setting or please maybe u not find it by defualt just google i want to turn off the turbo perferfomance belive me u wont hear ur fan again that loud but perfomance will go doown by half bascailly u wont notice unless gaming so while gaming turn on again on agressive mode .samsung wont say the true due they are unable to use agressive mode too keep with apple m news cpu so the fan kick in so loud
