Hi Everyone,

I saw a few posts on how to repair ESB, but nothing is helping.

I recently updated my GeForce Drivers to Version 471.11 (06/22/2021) and my Easy Settings Box stopped working almost immediately after. I have;

1) I repaired ESB, uninstalled and reinstalled (6 times) using the 64bit installer (32bit does not work for me),

2) I checked my monitor drivers and reinstalled with the latest file from Samsung Website,

3) I cleared the App-Data by uninstalling ESB and went into User/Bobberetic/AppData/Roaming and deleted the ESB folder. Otherwise I also checked the Program Files under Samsung to see if any ESB files remained (they were all gone prior to re-installation) (https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Monitors-and-Memory/Easy-Setting-Box-Setting-Screen-doesn-t-Appe...).

4) I have also Downloaded and Installed Application C34F971.exe for all my listed display ports etc and that didn't help. (https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Monitors-and-Memory/Easy-Setting-Box-Setting-Screen-doesn-t-Appe...)

When I launch Easy Settings Box, it does run and it identifies my monitor as "1", but the option to snap tabs never appears. I also cannot open the application using the shortcut, or the Hidden Icons tab (it ignores my clicks and right clicking only says "Quit"). When I press "Open File" on the ESB Shortcut, it does nothing.

It's been a while now and I'm still dragging tabs around the screen and it's driving me crazy!

Dudes,

Forget the Easy Setting Box. Samsung unfortunately makes this application available without worrying about whether it works or not. I saw a complaint from 2018 right here on the forum.

I'll tell you a free solution: it's "almost native" to Windows and with much more functionalities (for example, you can create your own layout, something that Easy Settings Box doesn't). It's called FancyZones. Look for Microsoft PowerToys in the Windows Store and once installed, look for "FancyZones" functionality.

I'm a owner of a CHG90 (the G9 ran out of money), I tested this Easy Setting Box, installed it, reinstalled it, did these procedures you said. I also looked for other window managers until I got tired... But luckily I managed to solve my problem.

Enjoy.
