Please help to remove game bar on my Odyssey G85SB

Hello

I recently purchased the Odyssey G85SB monitor, and I’ve noticed that the Game Bar frequently appears on the screen whenever the monitor is turned on. I find this feature distracting and would prefer to disable or completely remove it.

Could you please guide me through the steps to turn off the Game Bar, or let me know if there is a firmware update or setting that can help with this?

@archigenius: It isn't possible to disable the Game bar without disabling Game Mode, however this is not recommended, as you would then lose features such as VRR. If you press and hold the play/pause button on your remote for 1-2 seconds, then this will show/hide the Game Bar, however it will always pop-up when you initially power on the monitor, or a compatible external device such as a console or PC. I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you.

YES!!! this is the most annoying feature I've ever seen.

EVERY TIME I unlock my PC, I need to wait for.... 5 seconds or more, just to get access to the PC as this annoying bar pops up and covers the start button and whatever else you have setup down there, and then....... a reminder for how to access the bar pops up as well for an extra amount of time.

This is complete insanity "Don't display this on start" would be what Samsung needs to implement ASAFP. I do not get what the point of having this flash up all the time is, preventing access to the PC except for annoying the hell out of literally every single customer out there.

Yes I know the bar is there, yes I know how to access it, because I've had to sit through this annoying popup literally every single time I sit at my PC and wake it up.

I have this exact same issue. I can't understand who thought it's a good idea to block the user from using the monitor for 20 seconds after each power on. Like seriously, did you think this through? I keep getting underwhelmed by Samsung's software, no matter which device, there is always some very stupid issue with it.

And don't wait for patches, they don't really prioritize software updates.

I actually found a software solution for this, but an admin removed the link that I posted. Anyways, if you do a google search for "Disabling Samsung display game bar popups pfy", you should get an article with the same title as the top result explaining a series of steps you can do to disable it. I managed to disable my game bar with those instructions, and oh boy, it's finally nice to use the monitor!
