Monitor keeps flicking black and back on with xbox one s

I have a U28R550UQU 4K monitor purchased very recently. When I'm playing xbox it will randomly black out for a couple of seconds then come back on as if the monitor has just been powered on, sometimes multiple times in succession. The input displays in the top left every time the monitor comes back on. I've tried turning off HDR10 in xbox settings to see if this was the issue but there has been no improvement. Any help is gladly appreciated.

Do you have anything else connected to the monitor or is it solely used with the Xbox One?

I have my PC connected via the other HDMI port

Mine stopped doing it on its own and I have no idea why.
