Hello there , i just bought The odyssey G3 180hz monitor 24 inch version , everything is fine , good quality , and everything feels smooth , but the only problem that's bothering me is that , the monitor won't go to sleep mode with Display cable , it just go and shows a black background or something but not fully asleep , hdmi works fine , but this problem with dp is bothering me and i wanna now if everyone have this problem .
I tried a different DP cable , same problem , changing refresh rate , same problem , i did some research and found out some guy with a g7 monitor or something had the same issue , and he updated the firmware , and the problem is no more , and a guy on youtube have the same monitor i have , told me that it could be the fix for the issue , since the firmware version he have is MJE-G3024DGLA-1004.0 , and mine is MJE-G3024DGLA-1000.0 , and he doesn't have the issue . if someone can find a fix for this , or one of the admins provide the latest firmware because i cannot find any in the samsung official website , and eventhough it's not of a big deal , i don't like my monitor to stay all time on , and don't want to send it back just for this , since it's a great monitor , i guess this is a firmware issue , hope someone help me out ASAP please or the admins update the monitor page with the new firmware please , thanks in advance .
