Issues with Samsung T5 External SSD on MacOS

I keep having issues with my Samsung T5 External SSD on MacOS. I can see and access my files, but I cannot add or any folders or new files to the drive, even though I still have 700+ GB left to fill. 

What is the solution here? I keep having these issues with this HD, and I'm really thinking of switching to another one.

What file system is the drive formatted to use? NTFS or exFAT?

Format it to exFAT, it is compatible with both Windows and Macs.

The SDD is in exFAT already, ... I used to add files all the time, but the last couple of months it's been a pain in the a**.... Don't know why, I'm also on the latest firmware update.

Perhaps it is in a read-only mode, i have no experience with Macs so you'd have to Google how to change that. In windows you use Diskpart
