: Galaxy Book4 Edge – Battery Not Detected After BIOS Update

Hello Samsung Support,

I’m experiencing a serious issue with my Galaxy Book4 Edge (model: NP960XMB]) after a recent BIOS update. Windows 11 no longer detects the battery — the battery icon is missing, battery settings are unavailable, and the powercfg /batteryreport command returns “battery not found.”

I’ve already tried the following:

  • Resetting BIOS to default

  • Reinstalling battery drivers via Device Manager

  • Performing a static discharge

  • Running system scans (SFC and DISM)

None of these steps resolved the issue. I’ve seen multiple users report the same problem on Samsung’s forums, which suggests this is a firmware-level issue.

Please advise whether a BIOS rollback or updated patch is available. I’d appreciate guidance on next steps or a timeline for resolution.

Thank you,
Agnieszka

Hey there and welcome to the Samsung UK and EU Community Forum

Sorry to hear of the issues you've faced here.

Please note that this is a customer to customer forum, not Samsung Support. You'll need to contact Samsung Customer Services to help with this issue as it may need to go for a repair.
I am not employed by Samsung nor do I receive any remuneration as a Samsung Members Star.

My device is an S25 Ultra.
