Galaxy 360 S pen and backlit keyboard issues......

Hi all, 

had my Galaxy book 360 for just under a year and have noticed the S pen and backlit keyboard have stopped working. The pen has no response on the screen, or button push and the keyboard backlight will change intensity with Fn and F9 but won't come on at all....... Could this be as simple as a software issue or something more sinister.
