G9 OLED Flickering now and then

Morning

I got my G9 OLED last week and noticed quite often when i switch on my PC and get to the desktop I get flickering as shown in the video below

I have tried a different Display port cable and the one that came with it, also updated the firmware on monitor and running latest Nvidia drivers, I thought it might be something to do with running a 2nd monitor so unplugged that but still get the issue.

I had the first G9 before this and worked 100% fine nothing else was changed. Running an RTX 3090.

Should I be returning the monitor?

See yesterday I must have rebooted like 10 times and was fine then first time today it did it.

I should work on DP and hdmi at the price we paid we shouldn't have to mess about.

Yeah true, I have now bought 2 new cables. Hdmi 2.1 and DP vesa certified cable...38quid in total now. The monitor went 6 days last time with no bother and them it started doing it again.

The cables samsung supply should be upto the job seems abit ***** if need to change them.

Have you got Gsync switched on or off while yours does the flickering and black screen?

Update

It's happened again twice this morning with Gsync switched off so the monitor is faulty and needs to be swapped.

Need to call Samsung today.

Spoke with Samsung and they have arranged a replacement. They will collect the monitor Thursday and then take about 10days to dispatch the replacement which is a joke.

I wish I didn't sell my normal G9 as would have just returned this but I need a monitor........

Thursday 26th

Monitor collected by DPD so now lets see how long it takes to replace and hope the 2nd one doesnt suffer any issues.

 

@Rippers are they replacing yours?

Sorry for the late reply, been really busy with decorating lol. Sorry to hear that you have had to send you monitor back. Hopefully you get one that works how it should. I have not had to send mine back as it seems to be working great atm. I tried the new hdmi cable i ordered and all is great with that. There has been another firmware update for my model but have not installed that yet. (Panel stability and performance have been improved). Will see what that does.

Replacement should be here tomorrow. What cables did you buy that seem to have solved your issue?
