Morning

I got my G9 OLED last week and noticed quite often when i switch on my PC and get to the desktop I get flickering as shown in the video below

I have tried a different Display port cable and the one that came with it, also updated the firmware on monitor and running latest Nvidia drivers, I thought it might be something to do with running a 2nd monitor so unplugged that but still get the issue.

I had the first G9 before this and worked 100% fine nothing else was changed. Running an RTX 3090.

Should I be returning the monitor?

Called Samsung this morning went through all the trouble shooting with them answering all questions. We did a power drain by removing all cables and holding power button for 20seconds. After that did a factory reset on the monitor.

Now need to try it out over next few days see if that did anything.

Is it an nvidia or amd GPU your using? And Do you have Gsync or freesync switched on?

OK let me know how it goes. I tried my monitor this morning and it came on as its supposed too. Will still be speaking with them tomorrow just to rule out any major problems with it.

Did they say anything about the returns policy? As you said yours runs out soon.

No the oled isn't gsync is freesync. I had gsync switched on so didn't know if that was causing issues so wondered if you have gsync switched in within the nvidia control panel.

They have given me a ref number so if it keeps doing it this week I can call the sales team to either return or replace she said. I've got 7 days left until my 14days are up.

Ok update on my monitor. I tried it again after about an hour of using it and its done the same....no signal detected on display port GRRRRRRRRRRR. I change the display port from 1.4 to 1.1 on the OSD and voila i got a picture. But i aint using 1.1 as you only get 60hz and a 1080 display. I tried 3 different display port cables as well as Samsung's bundle cable and still the same outcome. This also happens with HDMI. I really want this monitor to work as it should but all i am getting is hassle with it. I have never had this problem with any of my other monitors and i am certainly not carry on like this. I will be calling Samsung tomorrow for either a replacement or a refund. If it can be fixed somehow over the phone then great....it may just be something stupid? i dunno.

      Your monitor is Gsync compatible.
