I still prefer just using my mobile with a USB C monitor, plus DeX, result I can do 90% of what I can on my laptop.

The only things you can't do on DeX is stuff like running pc only games and app, things like steam. (Although if you really wanted to you could probably find a 3rd party workaround) but other than that DeX works just as well as any laptop for work.

Samsung Dex... one of the underestimated features and not well publicised.

It has been around since s8 handsets and is very useful.

Consider it like a chromebook laptop. It is not a full Windows solution, but for general tasks such as Web browsing, word, Excel, and other office uses it is great.

Personally I have the early Dex dock which was sold some 5 or more years ago. This acts as a hub for an external keyboard, mouse, and a monitor.

It all works actually really well and has improved year on year.

I have an office laptop, but I could do all my work on my phone using dex if I wished. Obviously convenient wirh Microsoft 365 subscription but you can find android office apps that also do this for you.

Yes Dex works pretty well and is a full Desktop experience,   there is a wireless option for Smart Tv's/Monitors that support Miracast, though works best on those from 2019 onwards.
