UPDATE on the soundbar issue after OTN update Q990D

I received a call today from the Samsung authorised UK repair centre. 
The affected soundbars require a 'new part' (motherboard) and due to the number of failures Samsung is out of stock of said part. 
He told me that they (Mint Group FX) have ordered the part and if they are unable to get it by next Wednesday 25th March, then I will either receive a refund or replacement unit. 

So that will be a minimum of 14 days waiting and listening through the dire TV speakers! 1st World problem I know, but frustrating non the less.

I've been told I now have to wait until tomorrow to see if the part comes in. Then they will contact Samsung to see what they will offer. Thank you for the update.

Hi, i got a call this morning from the tech company, they have the part in stock and are coming out next Wednesday to repair it.

That's great news. Shame my repair centre couldn't get the part. I think you got lucky as they are in high demand at the moment.

That's exactly what the repair centre said to me last week. You're in the UK? And the Samsung UK authorised repair centre is called Mint Service

Yea it's would seem so as last week Mint FX told me "due to high demand" etc. You're in the UK?

I bought my q990d second hand unused and obviously updated it , now it doesn't work well, do I have any rights to recompense or repairs please

I'll be honest with you, you're going to find it difficult or impossible to get Samsung to replace or repair it. I had to send in the invoice, transaction N°, receipt and a photo of the sticker on the back with the QR code and serial number. Then I had to do the same with their UK tech company, mine is only 4 months old.

Is it worth purchasing or should I wait for the new 2025 model to be released in the UK?

Thanks for the feedback. Do you if they have resolved the bricking issue? Don't want to buy if the issue ain't resolved? Don't want to go through your experience. Thanks again.
