Smartthings app shows my Soundbar Q930C as powered off when it is on

It seems since the last major update to the Smartthings app, frequently my Soundbar Q930C shows as "Off" in the app.

It's not off and is connected to WiFi and I'm able to click on the device within smartthings and control it, change input, volume etc. While I'm in the device control screen it shows correctly as On.

When I click back to the home screen it still shows as powered Off.

It's not showing offline, just powered off.

This is annoying as it affects a routine I have in Google Home which powers on the rear bias lights for my TV when the soundbar switches on.

So the status within smartthings is also reflected within Google home app.

Is anyone having the same issue or have any advice on how to fix it?

Hi,

Mine never show as On or Off, just Available or Paired. Even when I tap on any of them, they never say On or Off.

What happens if you remove the device and re add it.

On smart things go to the tab devices and hold the soundbar tab, it should bring up a sub menu. Remove the soundbar, and re-add.

If it struggles to re-add, close the app and try again.

This usually works for me when it does go offline
