Ok so I have the s95c TV about a month old and the q990c soundbar about two weeks old. I have a fast internet speed with BT I have 2x ethernet cable's one from the Hub to the TV and one from the Hub to the PS5 I have one HDMI cable from the sound bar earc to the TV earc. All sounds amazing but every now and again it will take one to three seconds for the sound to come out of the soundbar!, say if I was flicking through song's on YouTube, also whilst playing the PS5 firing the gun on Call of Duty it can be delayed by 2 seconds...Please can somebody tell me why? to be honest it's an absolute joke doing this.!
I have in my other room another TV by Samsung from 2019 with this year's Samsung q800c soundbar and there are no problems at all. Why have I seen so many problems with this soundbar q990c? like I said it sounds amazing but should it really be taking two to three seconds for sound to come out when turning the channel or on BBC iPlayer etc??

Thanks

I remember to have seen something regarding delays output for soundbar on my Samsung TV. Got a Samsung soundbar as well and I remembered to play with but set up as default because of delays. many TVs and soundbars have a built-in “audio delay” or “lip sync” setting that aims to play the two in tandem. You’ll find this in the audio settings of your TV and/or soundbar, and if you’re lucky, adjusting it a few notches may fix the problem.

Ok, so I've been looking all over the net for this problem and I can see it alot. So this morning I've turned of hdmi- earc mode on sound- expert settings- to off- so it's just ARC with digital output audio format set to auto as I never have it set to PCM because I want to hear Dolby, PCM etc so my audio format is always Auto. So now I have set the HDMI earc mode to OFF and it's just arc there is no 2,3 second delay when turning channel on YouTube etc and I have seen this issue alot on forums. We pay for expensive equipment with a massive company and the earc takes a couple of seconds before sound kicks in ? To be honest I can't tell the difference between arc and earc , it's just annoying, and also if earc is faster than arc as it's a higher bandwidth, how does that make sense that arc works better? 🤷‍♂️

I am experiencing similar problems. Have al my devices connected to the one connect box and de soundbar via e-arc. My devices work fine. But when i am using apps like prime, youtube, kon (local tv) and hbo, i experience sound delays. Only netflix seems to work 100% of the time. Hope samsung will look into the problems that people are experiencing.

I don't think it will get solved, it's quite annoying but I'm just used to it now. Shouldn't be happening with flagship devices infact it Shouldn't be happening at all but it is what it is , at least I know it's happening with other people
