Q990B loses sound

I have the HW-Q990B sound bar, when watching anything on tv apps such as netflix it will periodically lose sound for about 3-5 seconds before coming back. It does not happen on youtube which is also playing through a tv app. Also no problems from external video devices connected to the tv. So only happens on pre installed tv apps.

Reading similar post I have seen that a simple tv firmware update fixed the issue but I am currently running the latest on both the tv and soundbar.

Same issue since purchase using a QN95A and Q900A with SWA-9500S via eARC, drop outs are regular but around 1-2 seconds.

Hi there,

Since a month I have the exact some problem with my Q930B, but in reverse..! Netflix and such work fine but youtube and external devices such as a playstation keep changing input and dropping out.. 🤯 It is unbearable 😞 Unfortunately haven’t found a solution yet and samsung support could not have been of help yet. Most likely a technician will come in soon to have a look at things..
