Q600B soundbar - Can it decode DTS:X

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I'm new to eArc and Soundbars. I have an S95B connected to a Q600B soundbar. I'm aware that the TV does not support and DTS, but the soundbar states Dolby Atmos and DTS:X.

I assumed that this meant the soundbar can decode DTS:X.

Unfortunately when I downloaded and attempted to play a DTS:X sample the TV just says audio format not supported, even though I have the TV audio set to pass through the audio to the soundbar. The soundbar is connected via eArc and displays eArc on the soundbar led display.

Have I misunderstood? Do soundbars have any decode capability?

Apologies if I've missed something obvious, like I say, I'm new to this. Thx

On a Samsung TV play the Blu-ray then go into the digital output option in sound menu, and you will be able to get dts.  It reads as 5chpcm on display, but is dts. It will stay on if hdmi is always selected. I think it will show dts if you plug into the soundbar hdmi input.
