Hi guys
I purchased a Samsung HW-MS650 soundbar yesterday, and am instantly having issues with the sound.
It is connected via HDMI to a Sharp TV. There are no issues when the volume isn't too loud, but when I'm watching a film and there is a loud scene, such as an explosion, the LED displays "PRT" and then the soundbar powers off. Turning it back on fixes the issue until the next loud noise when it happens again.
Had anyone come across this before?

Hi, I have the same problem. But it is new situation for me. After approx 15 minutes of loud music, the soundbar turnes-off. I always listened loud music and the soundbar has never turned-off automatically. I hope somebody will explain us how to solve this isuue. Maybe it is somethig what came with new Software update. I do not know:-(

I have the exact same problem. Also, after listening to loud music for a while, the soundbar starts making funny noises and then automatically shuts off.
Let's see if Samsung decides to reply or ignore us.

Same problem with HW-Q90R after the last firmware update. However, the soundbar can play via blutooth, optical. Not on ARC (D.IN->PRT->shutoff)

So, it seems that ithas to do with the latest update. Is there a way to go back to the previous one?

@Sergiocv don't know. I read on this forum somebody tried out via usb without succeeded.
By the way, I'm looking for someone who could share the previous FW file (EU version 1007.9 I believe).

Returnt it and get a refund, then buy a different one (Denon). That's what I did and now I'm happier than ever
