How to make TV eARC visible on the Harman Kardon HW-Q90R soundbar with firmware 1010.5

Dear all, 

 it has come to my attention that the firmware 1010.5 supports eARC. People also confirm this dat is soundbar display shows TV eARC upon start.

But mine still shows TV ARC when I  start the soundbar. SmaftThing confirms that I am on 1010.5.

Anyone lnwos what I should do?

It's correct that the update of eARC is available for our soundbars. However the eARC update for our TV's is unfortunately delayed.

We hope to have soon more information about this update, I am sorry for the inconvenience.

So, what you are actually saying is that the soundbar display will show "TV eArc" once the next TV firmware update does include eARC for my TV?

Together with a new and faster HDMI cable you should see eARC on the display of your Soundbar.

Unfortunately this is not the case. I already have an 8K HDMI2.1 cable in use. However, the soundbar with firmware 1010.5 still displays "TV ARC" when turned on.

What kind of TV do you use? Our TV's are still waiting for the eARC-update.

So, it does depend on the TV firmware whether or not the soundbar displays "TV ARC" or "TV eARC"?

I own the 2019 model QE55Q90R QLED TV.

Yes, we have to wait for the update on your TV. 

The soundbar will recognize the input signal and shows this in the display of your Soundbar.
