Using SmartTag2 with either Samsung Find or Smartthings app

I own some Samsung devices such as Galaxy S24 Ultra and recently got SmartTag2. I did not initially have Smartthings app installed since I'm using Google Home instead. Samsung Find was already installed and everyone talks about it replacing "Smartthings Find" specifically.

My question is, on the tab for objects in Samsung Find, there is no + (add) sign even though the text instruction beneath says to press it?!

When setting up SmartTag2 for the first time, it insists that I install and setup the Smartthings app specifically or else it won't be added..

Only after completing this task do I now find the missing + (add) sign has suddenly appeared in the Samsung Find app!

I no longer had any need for the Smartthings app to be installed, I removed it before setting up the SmartTag2, lo and behold, the + (add) sign has now vanished again!

What's the point of the newer Samsung Find app if it's dependent on the Smartthings app in order to add objects?

I am finding running both apps annoying, but prefer Find, but for Family tracking both are a like a pinball machine to find what you want

I also have almost the same problem and I couldn't find anyone else other than you with the same problem. I have the Samsung Find app and it only works for people and my devices, but not for "items". I wanted to add my SmartTag2 to the Find app, but it only connected to the SmartThings app. No matter what I tried to do it did not work. If you found out how to fix this issue please contact me.
