Hello
Yesterday morning I decided to put my Samsung Galaxy S7 on charge with the Samsung charger which I only got both in April 2017, I smelt a burnig smell to discover the charger end had started to melt in my phone rendering the charger no good obviously, and a Galaxy S7 phone that will no longer charge. Anybody else had a similiar issue? I am about to call Samsung to see what they are going to do to resolve this matter.

I’ve not personally had that issue on my s7 edge or s8 @AndyD1
Your intention to engage with Samsung is the best course of action.
If your phone was supplied by a Mobile Network they can help but my opinion as a first port of call is to visit a Samsung Experience Store or Samsung Service Location.
I’m assuming no accidental damage has been caused by a drop or water immersion.
Would you please update your thread with any update ?

@AndyD1: Are you on contract with Vodafone? If so, what have they advised you regarding a temporary phone?

I mentioned the Network because in my country the UK it's the seller of the phone that applies the 24 Month Manufacturing Warranty not the Manufacturer themselves but the Manufacturers do tend to want to support owners.
I understand what your saying about contact but in my experience this needs to be initiated by the owner which isn't usually dealt with by a Community Forum.
If Vodafone UK have to send a phone Off then if the person has an eligible contract type and have a courtesy phone in stock they'll supply one.
Do you not have a family member or neighbour or Friend who has a compatible spare phone in the interim?
Again I wish you all the best.

Hi Ant I replied to your message, and Vodaphone say no it is your responsibility. As you have arranged collection you and not them should issue a temporary phone.

No water at all and due to the severity well I thought anyway, I contacted Samsung at 9am Monday, rather then Vodaphone. I am having to wait 48 hours as I have complained about Vodaphone's lack of help, so still no phone.
