Swipe down for Quick Settings

Since the new One UI 8.5 Update i can't swipe down anywhere on my home screen anymore to open the quick settings.

It will just open the notifications and I have to manually swipe left/right to access the Quick Settings.

Any solution to this or is it permanent?

It should open if you swipe from the top right of the screen. As in, the very very top of the screen.

Swiping anywhere lower opens the notifications

You could set the menu back to the old way, so it's notifications and quick settings together

Swipe top right for settings.

Swipe top left foot notifications

To change back to a combined solution swipe top right and click on the pencil and change settings.

As @Joeeye has said, this is not a change made in 8.5......
