Samsung keyboard swipe

Swipe has degenerated. I cannot understand why it is so much worse than it used to be.

It is even creating words that do not exist. 

Please get swipe back to the highly effective input method that it used to be.

Totally agree. With Samsung keyboard I spent more time correcting than I did entering text.

I use GBoard now which is "better" but not brilliant.

This has been doing it for years on all the keyboards. What I have found is that I have to clear the keyboard personally dictionary and start fresh every year

Swipe was fine on my S4, got worst on my S9 and now on my S20 it's totally flushin* bad

I suppose that's evolution...

I agree I think it has to do with the keyboard touch and hold delay I had it at 0.4 seconds it was barely usable specialty with big words I put it to 0.2 second it does better but not as good as gboard on my old s9 I could have completely got rid of it or turn it off but now I can't it is this that is causing the problem

• I've had a variety of android phones over the years including an S5, Note 9 and currently an S22 Ultra. The other Android phones I've had include a Pixel 8, OnePlus Nord 100, Ulefone 19t Pro Iltra, Ulefone 27T Pro 5G and currently a OnePlus 13 Pro (last 4 are for business that I own along with a personal Android phone.) Through the years I've noticed the Samsung sucks the most at swipe, getting so many words wrong, not capitalizing "i" like my other phones, in fact not capitalizing obvious names that my other phones would. Once I changed it over to Gboard, I always have less issues. The only thing it does better is putting a space between a comma or period and the next word. Otherwise it's totally frustrating and Samsung should make it better bcuz voice to text isn't always an option depending on the situation, ie a meeting with a boss or customer, meetings in general, etc. 
• Hey samsung, how about you did your keyboard?
• (There's a perfect example, untouched of how the keyboard screwed that up, instead of it reading, Hey Samsung, how about you fix your keyboard? Shouldn't have that many mistakes in a short simple sentence like that. )
