Everything about this phones keyboard and voice text sucks so much worse than iphone. The voice text is literally TERRIBLE on both g board and samsung keyboard. Genuinely, the worst I've ever experienced. It's so bad and so infuriating I want to go back to apple. It's constantly autocapitalizing things that are in the middle of a sentence that has legitimately no reason to be capitalized, and makes no sense OR it puts the most random nonsensical words where they are not supposed to be. It's like it doesn't even listen to what your actually saying and fills in the blanks with random words. Currently as I voice type this, I am having to make so many changes because it is automatically putting in random punctuation and randomly capitalizing and no amount of messing with the settings fixes this issue. I'm about to go straight back to an iPhone. Who in the world are your software engineers because seriously, what gives? Years of the same issues with no fix. Are you that inept of a company? The reason I voice text so much you ask? Why don't I just type with the physical screen and not be lazy? Well, I can answer that for you! There's legitimately the most amount of spelling errors and hitting the wrong wrong numbers and letters on this keyboard. There's no typing quickly or efficiently on this phone, I either voice text and spend five minutes fixing every single text, or I type it out and I spend five minutes fixing every single text. This small complaint, this short paragraph took me over 20 minutes to type and proofread and fix because of how horrific samsung keyboard is. It's 2025 this is genuinely mind-blowing, do better.
We have a samsung TV, 2 samsung phones and a samsung tablet that we are about to get rid of and switch for a different brand and never pay for samsung again. I'm still using my old macbook and was going to switch to a samsung computer but now after experiencing the issues with the phone? I don't believe that will be happening. Y'all should be humiliated that your consumers and customers are in chat rooms on reddit by the thousands trying to fix these problems. Some of the threads have people going back as far as three years to people commenting as recently as two days ago in the same thread, because it's been the same issues for this long. I wanted to get the z flip and now I never want to pay for a samsung device again.
Also, last thing, DON'T YOU DARE tell me that in the settings that you can turn off auto capitalization and autopunctuation because it's the same problem just opposite. I have been trying to look for the solution to this problem since I bought this phone a year ago and both my husband and I made the mistake of switching from iphone to samsung. We both want to go back. Go look at some reddit boards and make some changes for your customers before they go back to iphone, iphone may be boring but at least their systems are more user friendly and work.
That's how bad this problem is, aside from this I absolutely love this phone but the struggle of typing and texting when that's probably 75% of what I use the phone for makes me not want it all. Quite literally, the only thing that could make this phone better is if we had the option for iphone keyboard still because let me tell you something they know what they are doing with that keyboard it works phenomenally well, especially when compared to the travesty that is the samsung and g board keyboards.
