Not sure how it resolved and if it is completely ok now. It has been working a lot better recently. I suspect a software update or possibly another app's setting which might've had something to do with it.

Never had that problem with our last phone. S5 or 6
Everything states top turn off WiFi direct... but it's WiFi Direct or nothing... so that doesn't work.
We purchased Sling and now can't use it on our TV
It's not an app we can find on our Samsung Smart t.v. either
