I've had this UE55RU7102 TV for about a month now & so far no issues.
Until yesterday.
I'm using a panasonic UB300 4k blu ray player going into HDM1 with high speed HDMI cable & have an identical cable from HDM3 (ARC) going into a sony AV amp.
I wanted to play a blu ray and selected the DTS master audio multi channel audio on the disc menu.
However, the audio signal that eventually reaches the amp is 2 channel PCM.
So, naturally I go into the sound settings & I am unable to select dolby digital from the output option. Only PCM is available.
Oddly, this doesn't happen with 4K discs.
Anyone have the same issue or have an idea how to remedy it?
Thanks in advance.

Hi @SaudA
You can actually close this down now.
Not even Samsung support could tell me what the cause was & tried to convince me that conecting the player to the ARC port would solve it which defeats the object of the ARC port entirely.
What they didn't tell me is that current Samsung TVs don't support DTS audio for some absurd reason.
Now I have to route the player into the amp (which does support DTS).
