Watch 5 PRO 45mm is so slow! Google Pay fails in 2 of 3 attempts

I've had this watch 5 PRO for nine months. I haven't used it during the summer because the display is too dark to see anything clearly. Now that I'm trying to use it again, I'm finding that it's incredibly slow. The responses to my taps are so sluggish that it's not at all user-friendly. When I use Google Pay, this watch is a total embarrassment. It fails twice before finally succeeding on the third try. Does anyone have any suggestions before I give up on this annoyingly slow watch?

Check for software updates, you could try a wipe cache partition on the watch. Many videos on you tube showing how to do this. If it was me, I would back up and reset, Start again.

@Maks-Zbogar if you would like to clear the cache partition steps here, some though prefer to view videos):
You should have the battery fully charged before starting this process on your smartwatch.

1. The Samsung Galaxy Watch must be turned on.

2. Now press and hold the "HOME" and "BACK" buttons simultaneously until you see the Samsung logo with "Rebooting".

3. Now release both buttons immediately and now press the home button (top right) quickly one after the other.

4. You are now in the boot menu of the Samsung Galaxy Watch. In this menu you can scroll with the "HOME" button by pressing it repeatedly.

5. Now navigate to the menu item "RECOVERY" and then press and hold the "HOME" button. This will reboot the Samsung Galaxy Watch into Android recovery mode.

6.You are now in recovery mode, which is similar to that of Samsung Galaxy smartphones.

7. Now press the "BACK" button (lower button on the right) until you have selected the menu item "WIPE CACHE PARTITION". To select it, press the "HOME" button once.

8. Now select "YES" by scrolling down and then select the entry with the home button.

9. The Wipe Cache partiton will now be executed on your Samsung Galaxy Watch. This takes a few seconds. Afterwards, the recovery menu is displayed again. Now select "Reboot Now" to restart the Samsung Galaxy Watch.

Clear cache partition recovery process like paracetamol and ibuprofen helps for almost everything 🤣
Seriously I recommend always doing first before any panic attacks

I have all devices up to date. All my phones, all my watches, all my computers, always.

I did "Wipe Cache Partition" but it didn’t help at all. Now is even slower. Sliding between tiles stutter and feels like slow motion from time to time. This watch software is not optimised for it’s slow processor.

Unfortunately, this doesn’t work for me. I have a Watch 5 Pro, and it seems like the software isn’t optimized well for its slower processor. I was thinking about getting the Ultra, but I bet it’ll start to slow down after a few more software updates. I think I’ll go back to my Garmin Instinct Solar 2x.

Can only suggest a Facrory Reset if everything up to date.

Thanks to everyone for your replies and help. Maybe I'm just too used to my Apple Watch and Garmin where everything is ultra fast and smooth.

Thanks for your suggestion. I always keep my devices up-to-date. But this seems like a buggy software, especially for the Samsung Watch 5 PRO (015L) SM-R920. I’m not sure if the problem is with the base Android Wear OS 4 or the One UI Watch 5 on top of it. I was hoping I will be able to use my Samsung watch along with my Z Fold 5, but this watch processor is to slow for unoptimised software.
