Recently my Watch got an update. Since then the Watch has trouble showing the music player I use on my phone. I either use S2 or Youtubw Music. As I have seen Youtube Music is no problem, but S2 is a problem. Before the update the Watch never had problem showing S2 on the Watch, but now it's seldom happening. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

Till this is fixed, a workaround could be to start the Media player manually. Does it show the current song/podcast that is being played on your phone when you open the Media player manually?

i have the same problem. No matter what i played on mobile, nothing happen on my watch 4 screen. i think it was happen after 2 recent updates. Before that, when i played video on youtube, music on spotify or YTmusic, my watch alway pop the media up and i can fully control on watch. Now it was just annoying, im using smart watch but still have to manually open media player on it

In order to get more attention by Samsung, I also wanted to chip quickly in. I've noticed the same bug since the last update 2 or 3 months ago, and it seems to be actually quite common. There are a few reddit threads on it, too. It honestly quite annoying, but a restart of the watch, then clearing all recent apps, and then waiting a minute or two usually fixes the problem.

To get even more attention, I had same issue on my Watch 4 about 2-3 months back. Since then I got watch 6 classic (about a week ago) and the issue stayed even tho I updated everything in my phone and watch. Someone says restarting watch and clearing recent apps works but I haven't found work-around like that

This started to happen to me between my S22 Ultra and Watch 4. It wasn't until I tried to open the web browser on my watch and visit a bookmark that I got the message "No network connection", even though my phone had good reception. So I deemed it an issue with the connection between the phone and watch.

I opened the Wearables app on my phone, and it didn't show my watch. I dragged down on my screen and can see it is connected to my watch via Bluetooth. I tapped on it to disconnect, waited about ten seconds, and then tapped again to reconnect. The Wearables app opened up automatically and found my watch. I then checked my watch, and can now view and control the media.
