Unable to send/receive text messages in Google Messages

Hi,

I've just received my new Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Classic LTE today from Three UK - the Watch works great, apart from one thing.

I am unable to receive/send text/rcs messages in Google Messages on my watch when my phone is turned off. I know i have connection to the mobile network on my watch, as I'm able to make and receive calls on my watch whilst my phone is turned off.

When i try to send a message in Google messages, it just displays an error message of 'unable to send messages - tap for options'.

Can anyone please help?

Open google messages on your phone , tap on your name , tap message settings , tap advanced, tap text on galaxy devices and turn that on.

Hopefully that works.

Does it have any more details about the error? Like an error code perhaps?

Nope, nothing else apart from a message of - your watch is disconnected from your phone
