Ultra watch open water swimming

Anyone else not getting a distance recorded while doing an open water swim?

yeah, if I swim breaststroke (i.e. the watch is constantly under the water), it's not measuring. It's annoying having to raise my hand above the water for a few seconds to catch the signal each minute or so, it's not swimming, if I have to stop and raise my hand! 😞

Yes, same here. My old original Galaxy watch tracked my open water swims very accurately,  but my new Ultra is useless.  It records distance as 0 metres or .01 metres, even though the GPS map still shows the route. Hoping there is a solution to this or I'm very disappointed with Samsung's new watch.

I've reported it to Samsung and they are investigating with the potential to correct in a future update. They apparently weren't aware, so I guess the more people who report it, the more important it will become.
