The Galaxy 5 Pro smartwatch completely loses connection to the smartphone after several hours of no bluetooth connection.

Hi,
I have a Galaxy 5 Pro smartwatch and a Motorla Edge 40 smartphone.
I always take care with all updates and both devices have the latest software available.
I've been having a terribly annoying problem for a while now, probably since some recent update.
When the smartwatch has no bluetooth connection to the phone for several hours, e.g. overnight, the smartphone cannot connect to it in the morning. It's as if it loses the information stored about it. The Galaxy 5 shows a message that a new phone wants to connect to it.
I have two options - "reset" or "transfer to new watch". The latter option never leads to success. The "Wearable" app pairs (bluetooth) the phone with the smartwatch, then asks again to log in to the Samsung account, asks and accepts various conditions, starts the transfer and either immediately or after a few minutes it displays the error "Can't pair with Galaxy Watch5 Pro (023X)".
Only "Reset" works. And it takes a very long time, I lose all data, installed apps. This is completely unacceptable.

Do you know any solution for restoring the connection after being disconnected for several hours?

Hi Jakub,

I kind have the same problem with my SG5Pro and a Redmi phone.

They don't connect. I'd say maybe is an update with the wear app. But not sure

Waiting for a fix

Thanks,

J

Hello

Do you have LTE version? Do you have the solution for this issue?

Nah! No worries. It's already sorted. The reason it didn't connect is that the phone was not samsung. Probably after nn update. I bought an A55, and it connected without issue.

But that is not a solution to the original issue.

I have a Moto edge 40 and a galaxy watch6 and I am having the same issue, I have to reset the watch often because it loses connection every couple of weeks.

I agree it's not a solution. But to really enjoy samsung festures, you need samsung devices. For example, some galaxy watch features don't work if the phone is not samsung... So there's no really a solution if Samsung don't change these policies

The same problem with the Redmi Note 13 Pro+, which is becoming more and more frequent.

I had a Xiaomi watch 2 pro LTE for a month, and it worked without problems.

It's a pity that you can't find the European version of the Xiaomi Watch S4 Sport, LTE with sapphire glass and titanium body.

It remains to change the phone or the watch, to be from the same company.

Shame on Samsung.

Same problem here... Every 2 weeks I have to restore and, for example, reconnect GPay cards. Very poor experience! And changing phone can't be a solution! Next time I will change watch brand

The great Samsung feature: the watch connects to the phone... I hope you are joking..
