Watch not picking up many steps at all yet I'm walking around,, also battery life is terrible!!!

Which watch is it? My battery life isn't good when the phones not near by it drains away unless you use battery saving setting

It's Galaxy watch 4, my phone is usually near me,,I have power saving on, spoke to Samsung they seem to think it's fine,, but noticed the steps are low can't be right
