Samsung watches - Why are samsung so pricey?

I have the active 2 watch, and it still tells the time like watcges should, now samsung are on the 7 ultra. But what a price. Why are samsung so pricey?

Samsung are a premium brand - premium materials with high spec components. There are always cheaper options, but if you're someone that values all of the numerous features that it has to offer, then it's good value.

I'd say like anything, you get out what you want prom products. If all you need is time telling, then maybe a smart watch isn't for you?

Hi societygirl. Thank you for your response. I agree, that you get what you pay for. However if I'm spending that amount on a watch, I expect it to have the Breitling, Rolex or Omega tagged to the watch. I do not believe that samsung are in that league, and I believe that they should not be asking such a price tag for money sake. Come this time (pun intended) next year the 7 ultra will be obsolescent and reduced to the have beens. Samsung are a great company and they need to reflect this to their community.

You can't get a Breitling, rolex or Omega at the price of a GW7 Ultra, sorry watch nerd kicked in

You can get a couple of swatch x Omega that's about it

All those watches you mentions have a starting price of 5k upwards

But I agree they will never bean Omega or Rolex

I have stopped upgrading my watch a a few years now as they are starting to feel the same as previous models

Thing is, you are not just paying for the watch itself.
There's a huge amount of research and development involved with creating devices such as this.
A lot of destructive testing as well.
All so the Watch itself is reliable and able to perform consistently.
The Watch Ultra for example has some of the most accurate sensor technology in it.
The build materials like the Titanium are not cheap either.
Even down to making sure the paint doesn't flake off after a time.

I visited the testing lab at Samsung last year in South Korea.
I can tell you as a lover of tech devices. Some of the tests looked and sounded awful.
But if that's what's needed to make sure I can rely on the watch sitting on my wrist.

I can say that the features of my watch are really good. Even surprised how good the snore detection works for one.
There's so much on the watch. I'm going to have to do some posts on it.
Having got the Watch Ultra, I can see why it costs what it does.
It definitely has a premium quality feel to it.

Otherwise the normal 7 watch will do most of the things.

Life is about choices. You choose what's best for you.

You wanna splash on the best . You splash.
If not be happy with what you have or can afford.

Samsung is one of the companies who has options for everyone out there.

Infact. You should buy the ultra now. You know you want it. You just ame here for us to tell you to buy it.

I get what you're saying about Samsung watches being pricey. It feels like you're paying a lot, but, I think they charge more because of the tech and features packed into them. Samsung’s watches are like little computers on your wrist – you get health tracking, fitness features, notifications, and even the ability to take calls or pay for stuff. Plus, the build quality is solid, and their displays are some of the best out there.
That said, if you’re not set on a Samsung, there are plenty of options that give you similar features for less money. But you know, when you compare it to something like a patek philippe calatrava replica, Samsung is still way more affordable.
