Samsung Watch 4 not tracking steps on treadmill

I had to do a factory reset on my Samsung Watch 4 last week.  Up until that point I had no issues with tracking of steps and when using the treadmill exercise; it worked fine.  Since the reset I cannot get the watch to track steps when I choose the treadmill exercise type.  I have tried rebooting the watch, updating the software, checking the auto workout detection is working properly, ensuring that my phone has the latest version of Samsung Health.... I'm stumped.  Any ideas?  What's annoying is that this was working fine until the reset.  Please help!

I have exactly the same problem. I'll spend some time investigating this problem today.

I also have the same issue. Worked before and recently does not track steps on treadmill. It tracks day to day steps fine.

hello, did you get anywhere with this?  I found that doing a full factory reset of the watch works.... for a day, and then it reverts back to not tracking steps again.  So odd.
