My ring as my watch previously starts recording my sleep approx 2 hours after I went to sleep e.g. I went to bed at 11pm but the tracking in the morning shows my sleep started at 2am whereas I was actually sleeping from 11pm, not just laying in bed or so. What could be the reason?

I have Watch ultra and ring, both start recording once I have been sleeping 30 mins. Anything less is not counted.

Thx. 30 mins is fine I guess but 2-3hrs? I am always on 4-5hrs sleep which is totally not the case.

Have you setup what you are looking for sleep wise in the Samsung Health App on your phone. As the watch and ring are looking for those settings. There are some separate settings on the watch also which you can access through the Wear App, likewise for the ring.

Set up a sleep schedule/ routine and try to stick with it.

It's will give the watch and ring a range when to start recording it

Thanks for the suggestions. Didn't appreciate the schedule is for that reason. Will give it a go.

How do you get the ring to record a nap in the afternoon? I slept rather soundly for two and a half hours this afternoon and the ring did not record sleep at all. There is nothing in the user guide, such as it is, about this. How do you force the ring to record your afternoon nap?

From what I've found, if I have a nap of longer than 30 mins or so, my sleep registers in Health app for the data and segments but doesn't affect your daily sleep score. Haven't adjusted any special settings.
